This course provides construction contractors with their renewal continuing education hours including the "required" hours of workers comp, business and safety, laws/rules, wind mitigation, advanced code and electrical pool. The 7 hours of "elective" topics covers and introduction to residential wind load requirements. You will learn how to determine ultimate and nominal wind speed and applicable risk category, determine surface roughness and wind exposure, calculate the enclosure classification and internal pressure, determine the component and cladding pressures on all roof and wall zones, understand how to protect openings in the wind borne debris region, and understand structure reactions due to wind.
